outreach
The members of CR2G participate as often as possible, in the El Paso area, in outreach activities (to school and/or the community). Below are examples of these activities:
- NEXUS internship host: program for high-school students.
The Nexus Program is a shadowing internship program for high-school students in the college of engineering at UTEP. In my lab, CR2G at UTEP, I invite high-school students in my lab in summer. Their internship is much more than shadowing, since shadowing could be extremely boring in computer science.
In fact, students participating in NEXUS at CR2G get to learn a variety of programming languages, they learn presentation and team-working skills, they work on and complete two different projects, they participate in our research via testing and reporting, and so much more!…
From the updates page page, you can access the work of each of our interns.
